It’s crafted from a single sheet of copper, then lined with durable nonreactive tin. The porcelain insert is glazed allover except for the base for superior heat conduction. In addition to melting butter, the versatile pan excels at melting chocolate, preparing sauces, and heating small portions of stock or soup.
