- Anti-panic handle is designed to assist users learning how to lower a climber
- If the user pulls too hard on the handle, the anti-panic function engages to stop the rope from feeding through the device
- Optimized for learning how to top rope belay, ASSIST + mode preactivates the blocking action of the cam
- This makes it easier to take up slack and helps limit the risk of the rope feeding through the device in the event that the user accidentally releases the brake strand

- When the climber falls or weights the system, the rope tightens due to the action of the brake-side hand; the cam pivots to pinch and block the rope

- Feeding slack and catching falls are accomplished using techniques standard to all Petzl belay devices, always keeping a hand on the brake side of the rope
