Designed to produce bread and pizza with crisp, golden crusts, this baking steel is lightweight enough for easy maneuvering yet substantial enough for consistent, even results. It’s made of preseasoned carbon steel that resists scratches and rust. We paired it with a commercial-grade aluminum baking shell, a lightweight alternative to traditional cast-iron models. Just slide your dough onto the baking steel, cover with the shell and bake. Set includes Brød & Taylor Bread Steel and Brød & Taylor Baking Steel. Bread steel is made of durable carbon steel and preseasoned with flax oil from Canada. Baking shell features heat-resistant stainless-steel handles and lightweight aluminum body that absorbs heat while trapping steam. Oven safe to 550°F; broiler safe to 500°F.
