They’re made in France from solid cast iron to retain heat for even cooking and browning and finished with a “majolique” enameled finish in colors that coordinate with Staub’s cookware collections. Solid cast iron transfers and retains heat evenly. Multicoat “majolique” exterior enamel. Topped with brass or nickel knob. Matte-black enamel interior is resistant to rust, chipping and cracking and does not require additional seasoning. Traces of quartz on enamel interior provide additional heat resistance and create a textured surface for improved browning.
