The White Wedding Hydrangea is an exciting new Paniculata Hydrangea from the Southern Living Plant Collection! It’s a new favorite among many gardeners thanks to its large brilliant white bloom clusters in Summer. They grow on sturdier stems than other similar varieties so the branches don’t droop under the weight of the heavy flowers. The leaves are dark green and have a matte sheen. They provide a perfect backdrop for the blooms to pop on. This is a naturally compact hydrangea that reaches 4-6 feet high and 3-5 feet wide at maturity. Therefore, little pruning is necessary. Use it as an accent in a mixed garden bed, a specimen, in a hedge, or as a foundation planting. It’s hardy from USDA Zones 4-9 and grows well in Full Sun to Partial Sun. Plant in slightly acidic garden soil with good drainage for best results. Water 2-3 times per week for the first growing season. These White Wedding Hydrangeas are well-rooted in their 2 Gallon pots. They will tend to be 14-18 inches tall when shipped and they are not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival.
