OVERVIEW
The Nexen Roadian 542 is a high performance, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks.
The specially designed tread pattern provides superb all weather traction. The circumferential and lateral tread grooves grip the road well in dry, winter and wet weather conditions. The compound and the optimal tread elements enhance the tire’s surface grip throughout the year. The four wide, straight and numerous lateral grooves effectively prevent hydroplaning as they evacuate water and slush from below the tire footprint. This ensures excellent driving safety in all weather conditions.
The model is easily controlled. The driving stability and steering responsiveness are enhanced with the tread design. The tire is stabilized against the external driving forces with the tread’s straight center rib that maintains constant road contact. The shoulder tread block sequence also keeps the tire glued to the road surface, which ensures a quick and precise steering responsiveness. The shoulder design also features a dual pitch sequence and excellent rigidity that promote additional biting edges during cornering and maneuvering. The safer handling and boosted cornering ability and power ensure effortless and secure controllability.
The tire also offers a comfortable drive with the tread pattern. It reduces the road noise and vibration levels in the vehicle’s cabin. The tread’s straight center rib has constant road contact which allows the tire to closely follow the road surface. This lowers the road vibrations as the tire sticks to the road surface. The dual pitch shoulder tread block sequence decreases the road pattern noise generated while the tire is in motion by negating the soundwaves. In this manner, the model offers a quiet, comfortable and enjoyable drive.
The Roadian 542 has excellent durability. Its internal structure maintains the optimal tire shape at all times, even when the vehicle is carrying heavier loads. The tire does not deform under the driving or load pressure, which ensures exceptional high speed performing capabilities.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
