The tread block stiffness prevents the tread elements from shifting around during the drive, which slows down the tread wear rate significantly. It also equally distributes the forces of acceleration, cornering, and braking across the tread area, which eases the driving pressure off of the tire. As the model is under less pressure, which is not focused on one part of the tread area, it slows down the tread wear rate and prevents irregular wear patterns from forming across the tread area.
