Run flat technology allows drivers to go up to 50 miles at speeds less than 50 MPH after a puncture or pressure loss, and the RFX Plus also features a special bead filler that lowers heat generation to prevent uneven wear and tire seperation when the tire is without air. Four wide grooves funnel water out of the tread to improve hydroplaning resistance, and the RFX Plus also features extra blades and grooves on the inner ribs plus a silicon rubber compound that work together to further enhance traction and grip in wet and light winter weather conditions. A step-shaped pattern within the inner and outer tread blocks boosts grip further, and the RFX Plus utilizes a sound-absorbing hole design on the outside shoulder to lower road noises and vibrations for a quiet, comfortable ride.</p>
