Goodyear Wrangler MT/R With Kevlar
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Mud terrain traction
- Enhanced controllability
- Damage resistance
OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Wrangler MT/R With Kevlar is a mud terrain, all season tire manufactured for light trucks.
The model ensures first-rate off-road traction. The aggressive tread pattern features large, staggered tread blocks, a high void ratio and an optimal shoulder and sidewall design that work together to boost the tire’s soft, loose and uneven terrain traction. The individual tread elements bite into the terrain surface to maintain their contact and traction, while the shoulder and sidewall pattern enables the tire’s forward motion in deep mud and loose dirt. The tread design, along with the silica-based tread design, also improves the all weather traction. As a result, the tire is capable of performing well in dry, wet and winter weather with ease, guaranteeing exceptional driving safety.
The tire actively prevents off-road damage from harming its casing. Firstly, the tread’s self-cleaning nature ensures that mud, snow and rocks are not stuck between the tread elements. The high void ratio, staggered tread elements and stone ejecting ribs eliminate them from the footprint while the tires are in motion. This prevents the tire from being blocked from its contact with the terrain surface and it actively resists stone retention. Secondly, the tire was manufactured with Goodyear’s special Dupont Kevlar, which was placed in the tire’s sidewalls for additional reinforcement. This prevents punctures and cuts from harming the tire during its off-road performance, promoting a safer mud terrain performance.
The Wrangler MT/R With Kevlar is also easily controlled. The aggressive tread design and the reinforced Dupont Kevlar construction upgrade the tire’s strength, stability and steering response. The Kevlar structure reinforces the tire’s casing against the driving and load pressure affecting it. This improves the driving stability and enhances the tire’s load durability as well. The improved road contact, on the other hand, upgrades the steering responsiveness and accuracy to the driver’s instructions. In this manner, the driver can confidently control the vehicle on all off-road surface conditions.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
