Sourdough bakers are all too familiar with the “Goldilocks Zone” – the ambient room temperature that’s neither too hot nor too cool, but just right for developing sourdough starter. The Goldie by Sourhouse creates the ideal temperature so you don’t have to wait for conditions to be perfect. Simply turn on the Goldie, place your jar of starter inside the clear-glass warming dome, and the consistent, draft-free environment allows bacteria and yeast to be at their most active to develop a robust and flavorful starter. Compact design holds up to quart-size jar (not included). Warms starter to 75°F-82°F. Clear borosilicate glass cloche allows you to monitor starter. Auto-warming on/off switch. Simple three-zone thermometer indicates starter’s behavior and helps anticipate ideal time to begin baking. Includes Sourhouse Cooling Puck for high room temperatures that make it necessary to cool down starter.
