Description
Stay aware of approaching vehicles with this Garmin radar taillight. With precise radar tracking technology, it detects vehicle size and threat level. Pair it with a compatible device to get alerts.
Features
- Reliable rearview radar with the most powerful and precise radar tracking technology from Garmin detects vehicle size and threat level with a wider field of view
- Tracks vehicles up to 175 meters (more than 190 yards) away
- Gives audible and visual alerts on your compatible Edge cycling computer or Garmin smartwatch, or on the Varia™ app on your smartphone
- See alerts for small, medium and large vehicles approaching, and see the movement of a vehicle and its threat level, on a compatible Edge cycling computer or the Varia™ app
- Same-speed tracking means you can continue to stay alert to vehicles that are following behind at the same speed or attempting to pass
- Same-speed tracking is limited or may be unavailable at slower speeds or when the radar cannot detect the road because of weather conditions or obstructions
- The taillight is visible from up to 1.24 miles (2 km) away
- Show other cyclists or motorists that you’re slowing or stopping with a brake light that displays a unique flash pattern
- For peace of mind and awareness on the longest of rides, get up to 24 hrs. of battery life in day flash mode and up to 30 hrs. of battery life in radar-only mode
- Ride with 4 different light patterns: day flash, night flash, solid mode and peloton mode
- When riding with others, peloton mode preserves the eyes of others riding behind with a lower-intensity flash
- Max light output on solid mode: 25 lumens; peloton mode: 8 lumens; night flash: 40 lumens; day flash: 100 lumens
- Create your own custom light patterns in the Varia™ app on your smartphone
- Sleek, compact design and seatpost mount means this fits cleanly onto almost any road or gravel bicycle; also compatible with the Varia™ seat rail mount kit (not included)
