The DEWALT 3/8 in. NPT desiccant air cleaner (DXCM019-0338) cleans air and removes water vapor right at the beginning to help support air compressor applications that require oil-free, moisture-free air, like spray painting. 2 separate systems condition the air: an oil-removal filter traps the oil aerosols and the desiccant beads system removes water vapor. An outlet screen on the air cleaner keeps desiccant particles from entering the air stream, protecting air tools. The desiccant beads change color when it needs to be changed or recharged. The desiccant air cleaner system includes a quick-release bowl to easily view the fluid level and it is protected against impact by metal guards. A quarter-turn drain makes maintenance easier.
