OVERVIEW

The Continental SportContact 6 SSR (OE) is a performance and high performance, summer tire made for passenger vehicles. This is an OE as it is the original equipment of select vehicles. This model is EV-Ready, meaning these tires are compatible with both electric and traditional vehicles.

The ideal tread design and the special silica compound improve the tire’s performance in the summer season. The optimized tread elements firmly grip the road surface with extra biting edges, while the special silica compound protects the tire from heat build-up in warmer temperatures. This combination upgrades the tire’s performance in dry and wet-weather conditions. At the same time, the optimized grooves effectively disperse water from the footprint and avoid hydroplaning.

This model is run flat. The reinforced internal structure maintains the optimal tire shape under driving pressure even after air pressure loss. It can easily withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers when the air pressure leaves the tire. This limited, temporary performance enables the tire to arrive at a nearby location where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed. As a result, this structure protects the vehicle from being stranded on the side of the road, which increases driving safety.

The asymmetric tread pattern and its close contact with the driving surface upgrade the tire’s steering responsiveness and driving stability. This increases the tire’s steering response time and accuracy to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure.
