The compound’s Flexible Polymer Matrix improves adhesion between the tire and the road for enhanced traction in all wintry conditions, and high performance resins help retain flexibility in winter temperatures. The 3D groove structure of the tire places grooves on the walls of the tread blocks, strengthening the interlock between the tire and packed snow in the grooves, thereby improving snow-to-snow traction, especially while turning. Specially designed sipe channels in the tread wick water vertically into the sipes, where it is then drained into larger grooves.
