Carlisle Sport Trail Bias Trailer Tire – 18.5/8.5-8 LRC 6PLY Rated

The Carlisle Sport Trail Bias Trailer Tire is rated trailer tires that offer good all-weather traction. They mainly utilize their tread design to optimize the traction between the road and the footprint to ensure the vehicle’s forward motion. However, as trailers only have free-rolling axles, their tires do not need to have as strong traction as the towing vehicle’s tires do. The Sports Trail features a symmetric ribbed tread design, which was molded from an all-season tire compound. These work together to enhance the dry, wet, and winter weather road gripping capability. The symmetric ribbed pattern’s surface contact enhances the grip, while the compound keeps the tire pliable in versatile temperatures. As a result, the tire ensures a safer performance all year round. The tread design’s circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. Hydroplaning is a dangerous road hazard that happens when the tire loses its surface contact due to the water and slush preventing on the road surface. The Sports Trail uses its grooves to disperse water and slush from below the footprint, maintaining the tire’s surface contact at all times. As a result, water and slush cannot cut off the tire’s road contact, which boosts the wet and winter weather driving security.
