Fuel your creative and playful riding with the Cane Creek Tigon rear shock. Its DB Twin Tube design combines the sensitivity of a coil shock with the tunable support of an air spring.
Features
- Compatible with Cane Creek VALT coil springs (required; not included)
- Tracks the ground and grips like a coil shock, but thanks to RAMP Tube Technology it also offers the mid-stroke and bottom-out support that is often required from an air shock
- Both of these benefits are now delivered in an entirely new layout that better withstands side-loading and buckling forces that can harm traditional coil shocks
- RAMP Tube is a small air spring that works in conjunction with the main coil spring to control the shock’s progression
- With RAMP Tube, you rely on the main coil to support you body weight while setting sag, but it can easily add up to 35% progression relative to a traditional coil shock
- These adjustments are made using a basic shock pump
- Main coil spring allows Tigon to offer incredible grip and ground-tracking sensitivity
- The bracing provided by RAMP Tube, paired with a damper shaft that is relocated to the middle of the shock, adds a significant amount of lateral strength
- The supreme sensitivity of the coil is always present, providing the most active suspension possible—no matter the air pressure
- If desired, you can remove air from the RAMP Tube to turn the shock into a more linear, traditional coil shock to amplify its ground-tracking ability
- Encountering steep, technical and slippery trails? Simply remove the air from the RAMP Tube for a shock setup that stays more planted to the ground
- Twin tube damper design moves much more oil through externally adjustable valving instead of forcing it through shims on the main piston
- This circulating oil flow allows for superior tunability and eliminates the need for internal valving changes to achieve your optimal shock tune
- Available adjustments include: RAMP Tube, independent high- and low-speed compression, low-speed rebound, 2-position Climb Switch
- Weight: 438 g with coil spring installed; 210 g without (weight varies by size)
