Bridgestone Potenza Sport AS
OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone Potenza Sport AS is a high performance, all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Bridgestone offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire ensures a safe high speed performance. The ideal tread design, the high performance compound, and the strengthened structure work together to optimize the tire’s high speed performance. This tread pattern evenly distributes driving pressure along the tread area, while the compound is heat-resistant. These work together to actively resist heat build-up along the tread area. The strengthened internal structure maintains the optimal tire shape under the high speed driving pressure affecting the model. This allows the tire to perform at its best high speed capability.
The model’s high speed controllability increases the surface contact. This asymmetric tread pattern closely follows the road, which enables the tire to enhance its steering responsiveness and driving stability. The model offers faster and more precise steering responses throughout the performance, while the structure is also secured. The shoulder block placement, with the sipe details, provides additional biting edges and enhances cornering, even at high speed. This guarantees the driver’s control over the vehicle during the drive.
The ideal tread pattern and the all season compound enhance the tire’s dry, wet, and winter-weather grip. In this manner, the optimized tread design closely follows the road surface at all times, while the all season compound keeps the rubber flexible in changing temperatures. Circumferential grooves effectively eliminate water and slush from the footprint, in order to resist hydroplaning.
The Bridgestone Potenza Sport AS keeps noise levels reduced at all times. The tread block placement enables the tire to channel airwaves through the footprint, without allowing their contact with the tread elements. In this manner, the tread elements do not generate sound waves, which guarantees a comfortable drive. As road disturbances do not ruin the passengers’ driving enjoyment, the model is able to promote a quiet performance.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
