Description

Made for ski patrollers, guides, and those planning long tours and overnights, the Backcountry Access Float E2-45 avalanche airbag pack offers plenty of space plus reliable performance in cold temps.

Features

Alpride E2 supercapacitor system with 162-liter airbag; supercapacitor system stores energy that powers the compressor upon deployment
Supercapacitors store and release energy based on electromechanical properties rather than a chemical reaction like in rechargeable batteries
This makes supercapacitor performance much more reliable in cold temperatures, and the energy stored in a supercapacitor releases faster when activated for deployment
You can install 2 AA batteries to allow for additional deployments in the field; batteries also help keep the supercapacitor at full charge when not in use
2 AA alkaline batteries allow for 1 additional deployment and are capable of keeping the system charged for up to 3 months of normal use
2 AA lithium batteries allow for 3 additional deployments and are capable of keeping the system charged for up to 5 months of normal use
E2 engine is 40% smaller and 25% lighter than the Alpride E1 system and is TSA-approved for hassle-free airline travel
Burly 45-liter pack with waterproof coated nylon
Molded Cooling Fin back panel for ventilation
Side Stash pocket and Back Stash zip make it easy to hydrate or swap hat, gloves, eyewear or skins while you’re on the go
Top quick-cinch closure/lid
Expandable internal roll-top design
Dedicated shovel/probe/snowsaw compartment
Curved side access zipper
A-frame and diagonal ski carry
Vertical snowboard carry
BC Link radio- and hydration system-compatible (radio and hydration system not included)
Removable compression straps
Removable helmet/gear carry
Hipbelt pocket and tool loop
External loops for ice axe carry
YKK zippers with durable water repellent (DWR) coating
Made with PFAS chemicals
Note: An avalanche airbag system does not guarantee survival in an avalanche; educate yourself, make good decisions and know before you go
