This tread design also keeps the footprint clean at all times. The footprint utilizes its stepped block edges, groove placement, and small raised bars to eliminate mud, snow, and rocks stuck between the tread elements. In this manner, mud and snow are unable to pack into the footprint and block its surface contact during the drive. On the other hand, this effectively avoids stone retention.
