OVERVIEW

The Mastercraft LSR Grand Touring is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger and crossover vehicles. This model has some high performance sizes too. Mastercraft offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with the W speed rated sizes, a 70,000 mile warranty for the H and V speed rated sizes and an 80,000 mile tread warranty with the T speed rated sizes.

The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. The special asymmetric tread pattern firmly grips the road surface in all conditions. The tread design features a dual tread pattern. The outer pattern boosts the dry weather traction, while the inner tread pattern increases the wet and winter weather traction. The wet and winter weather traction is improved with the tire’s inner tread area as well. It features an enhanced number of lateral grooves and wide circumferential ones that actively resist hydroplaning by dispersing water from below the tire’s footprint. The better traction and hydroplaning prevention improve the year round driving experience.

The model’s handling is also upgraded. The tread pattern was designed with special Stability Control Sipes (SCS). These 3D sipes increase the tire’s road gripping ability in all weather and improve the model’s controllability. The better road contact boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability significantly. The tire’s response time becomes faster and its steering more accurate to the driver’s instructions. The maintained road contact stabilized the tire against the driving pressure affecting it during the drive. The maintained road contact also decreases the road vibrations felt in the vehicle’s cabin as the tire is capable of closely following the road surface. The lowered road vibrations guarantee a more comfortable driving experience in all conditions.

The LSR Grand Touring was manufactured with a lightweight construction. This manages to lessen the tire’s rolling resistance, which is the pressure affecting the tire that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tire’s motion. The reduced rolling resistance lowers the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the model more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly. The decreased rolling resistance also manages to slow the tread wear rate down as it eases the driving pressure off the tire.
