OVERVIEW

The Mastercraft Courser HXT is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for commercial vans and light trucks. Mastercraft offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The tire compound and asymmetric tread pattern work together to increase the all weather road gripping ability. A special all terrain tire compound was used to enhance the dry, wet and winter weather traction and the higher number of lateral slots improved the wet and winter weather traction significantly. The wide circumferential grooves actively prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint. The result is a safer and more comfortable driving experience.

The model promotes excellent controllability. The specially designed interlocking tread elements boost the steering responsiveness, the driving stability and the cornering ability. The tire becomes quick and precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while it is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The cornering and maneuvering power is strengthened with the additional biting edges the tread elements provide. The better cornering and handling upgrades the tire’s controllability significantly and allows the driver to confidently control it in all weather.

The Courser HXT’s tread design raises the comfort levels of the drive and allows an extended tire usability. Both enhancements are due to the tread’s continuous shoulder ribs. They channel the airwaves through the tire footprint without them coming into contact with the tread elements. This avoids road noise as the sound has no way of forming. They are extending the tire’s tread life and usability by evenly distributing the driving pressure along the tread area. This prevents irregular wear which, along with the abrasion-resistant compound material, promotes a longer tread life.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
