Notched shoulder blocks at the intermediate outboard rib and shoulder aid in wet-weather traction, and Continental’s Tuned Performance Indicators alert a driver to excessive tread wear. A visible “DW” means the tire is good for dry or wet weather, a visible “W” means it’s safe for wet weather and a visible “D” means the tire has worn to a point where it’s only good for dry conditions.
