OVERVIEW
The Zeta Etalon is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Zeta offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire offers a secure all weather traction. The tread design and the all season tire compound combined increase the tire’s grip in dry, wet and winter weather. As a result, the tire is capable of securely performing throughout the year. The tread elements, with the high-density siping pattern, improve the grip in all conditions, while the compound maintains its flexibility. The circumferential grooves enhance the tire’s water and slush dispersing capability, which effectively avoids the hydroplaning. The enhanced year round traction and the boosted hydroplaning resistance ensure a secure driving experience.
The model is easily controlled in various conditions. The symmetric tread pattern features continuous tread elements which maintain the tire’s road contact at all times. This enables the tire to increase the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The high siping density helps upgrade the braking ability. These sipes create friction at the moment of braking between the tire and the road surface. This significantly shortens the braking distance, guaranteeing a safer controllability and performance.
The optimized tire profile promotes a fuel efficient drive. The optimal tread design closely follows the road surface and keeps its excellent traction throughout the tire’s performance. This eases the driving pressure off the tire, which manages to lower its rolling resistance. The rolling resistance determines the amount of energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. The Etalon ensures a quiet performance. The special integrated shoulder design manages to reduce the road noise levels heard during the drive. They prevent airwaves from entering the tire’s footprint and coming into contact with the tread elements. As a result, the tread pattern does not allow the road and tread pattern noise to reach the vehicle’s cabin and dampen the passenger’s driving enjoyment. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
