Designed with a smaller barrel profile that delivers solid pop, the B45® B271 Pro Select Birch Bat tries to mimic the shape and feel of metal bats to help players easily transition to hitting with wood. The B271’s birch construction possesses an exterior that’s harder than ash, while providing slightly more stiffness that’s comparable to maple.
