LiFePO4 is immune to dangerous outgassing, fumes, or leaks and is safe in nearly all operating or storage environments. With full capacity available during charging, LiFePO4 boasts extremely fast recharge rates and contains no heavy metals, rare earth elements or toxic materials. This battery reduces environmental impacts, and also requires about half the energy to produce as compared to other lithium battery types.
